Open & Soften with Supported Bridge
21 mins
In this second class, Helen guides you through Supported Bridge Pose, a gentle restorative posture designed to create more space through the chest, shoulders, hips, and front of the body. You’ll learn how to set yourself up comfortably using a block, bolster, books, or a strap, and how to adjust the height and support so the pose feels steady rather than demanding. As you settle, you’ll return to the three calming strategies from the course: comfort, present-moment awareness, and breath. Helen will guide you to notice where your body is supported, follow the movement of your breath through the belly, ribcage, and upper chest, and allow the body to soften without forcing anything. The practice ends with gentle movements for the hips and spine before returning to a comfortable seat. The aim is simple: to feel supported enough to rest, breathe more freely, and create a little more space in both body and mind.
